Heat Pump Installation for Homes in Norwich, VT

Instead of generating heat, a Mitsubishi Electric heat pump transfers it, which is how one system covers both winter heating and summer cooling. For Vermont winters, the Mitsubishi Electric H2i Plus is engineered for cold-climate performance and rated to hold full heating capacity down to -5°F*.

Year-round, you get high-efficiency performance and reduced dependence on fossil fuels.

*Performance is dependent on system configuration.

Sizing Your System for Norwich, VT

A Design Consultant walks through your home before we settle on any equipment. The goal is to calculate what your house actually needs, which takes more than measuring rooms. Insulation, windows and doors, how much sun the home gets, and more all factor in. Skip the design work and the system either can’t keep up on cold days or short-cycles the rest of the time. Improper design is why around 9 out of 10 HVAC installations don’t perform optimally.

Flexible Mini-Split Options for Norwich

For homes without ductwork, Mitsubishi Electric mini-splits are a flexible option. Multi-zone systems let each room be set to the comfort of whoever’s in it, with seldom used rooms like a guest room adjusted separately. Wall-mounted and floor-mounted indoor units are both available.

Norwich, VT Homeowners Choose a Diamond Elite Contractor

Mitsubishi Electric holds contractors to specific standards for training, installation quality, and long-term performance. Bergeron Mechanical Systems is a Diamond Elite Contractor for meeting the first two and has also been recognized as a Top Contractor nationwide for the third. You can see the systems firsthand at our showroom, The Comfort Zone, in Keene.

How Installation Works in Norwich, VT

Free Design Consultation

Everything starts with a Design Consultant on-site. During the visit, they go through each room with you, review the heating and cooling you have now, and discuss which parts of your home aren’t feeling right. The consultation is free, with no obligation attached.

Personalized Design

From the walkthrough, we move into design. That involves choosing the zones for your home, placing each unit thoughtfully, and matching a Mitsubishi Electric configuration to how your space is laid out. Every plan is custom to the property.

Advanced Heat Pump System Design Software

To take accurate measurements, we use heat loss calculation software on each space in your home. Insulation, windows, exposure, and how each room is used all factor in. The system that comes out is designed specifically for your home.

Transparent, No Hidden Cost, Proposal

The written proposal is provided during your design appointment and covers the full scope of the work: equipment, electrical work, labor, and warranty coverage. No hidden costs. If something at your pre-installation appointment would change the plan, our installation manager offers a solution and confirms it meets your satisfaction.

Precision Installation

We meet or exceed Mitsubishi Electric’s specifications on every system we install. The bluestone pad, the corrosion resistant aluminum stand, the electrical connections, and component placement are all handled that way. Diamond Elite Contractor status means the crew on your job is trained specifically on this equipment.

Final Testing & Optimization

Once the install is finished, we commission the system. That means running the full setup, checking every zone in heating and cooling, measuring airflow at each unit, and confirming every control responds. The last step is showing you how to operate the new system.

Ongoing Support & Maintenance

Every installation is backed by a 1-year bumper-to-bumper warranty on all parts and labor. Once your system is installed, we register the 12-year parts-and-labor warranty on all Mitsubishi Electric related components on your behalf and mail you the certificates. We’ve been in business for over 50 years, so our Service team will be here for the life of your system.

The install itself is what determines how well a heat pump holds up over the years. Bergeron Mechanical Systems has been doing that work for more than 50 years across NH and VT and is a Diamond Elite Contractor.

Who Are Heat Pumps For in Norwich, VT?

Three situations bring most homeowners to a heat pump conversation. Moving off oil or propane heat is one. Adding cooling to a home that’s never had any is another. Replacing an existing heat pump that’s near the end of its run is the third. In every case, what draws people in is one system that handles both heating and cooling across the year.

Winter is the first thing everyone asks about. Mitsubishi Electric’s H2i Plus is engineered for cold-climate performance and holds full heating capacity down to -5°F, which covers a Vermont winter’s coldest days.
